Even though the old site was old and outdated, it did present the critical content well so it was important to preserve the existing site architecture largely intact, though with improved signposting and presentation. I developed a new colour palette based on the predominant colours of the wood itself - dark and light green for the leaves and a ruddy orange for the colour of the soil. The old site content was only editable via access to the site source files, so I installed a content management system providing easy editorial access to the entire site.
